Had one of those tower things that are sticky for catching flies. It was old so I put it in a garbage bag. Then I got busy doing other things. The kitten got into the bag. He got the sticky tower off himself but left a lot of fur. Problem is that he has that sticky stuff all over him. Everything is sticking to him. What can I use to safely clean him up? I'd hate to have to shave the fur off him. Can't even pet him right now.

I've gotten mice out of glue traps and bubblegum out of hair with a little olive oil. That may work for that.

Just get a little oil and rub into the sticky part. You have to work it in a bit.

I would try that to,If it is a kitten you can give it a bath and wash it with dawn soap which is safe for kittens. We used dawn soap for getting rid of fleas on are rescued kittens and it works perfectly. Im sure it will get the sticky fly trap stuff out to.

-also make sure the water is warm not hot or to cold

I can just imagine one of my cats doing the same thing. I agree with the olive oil suggestion. Let us know how it works!
