Cat???

I've got 6 cats! 2 completely indoor cats, 2 outdoor cats, and 2 kittens that will become outdoor cats.

My indoor cats are afraid of everything (rescued cats, one from an abusive home), and wouldn't kill a chicken even if they got outside.

My 2 fully grown outdoor cats are a threat to everything wild, but have never shown interest in the chickens. The younger outdoor cat (6 years old), will be sunbathing in the grass, and if the chickens get too close, she'll move to a different spot. She is an aggressive cat too, killing crows, bluejays, tons of small wild birds, frogs, toads, moles, voles, rats, mice, etc. I wouldn't trust her around a chick, but once they get to be about 8 weeks old, there is no way she would touch them. The other outdoor cat is 13 and grumpy and avoids the chickens too.

The kittens are a bit more curious and approach the chickens, but after they get pecked, they run away.

Cats rarely pose a problem (especially well fed tame cats). I would however, not allow a cat to be around chicks under 8 weeks old. The size comparison to a wild bird could be confusing for them.
