My cat toothless is loosening her mats but not in the way we expected her to... she is going bald around her neck and she is a maincoon
...is this normal for a maincoon

I wouldn't worry about it it's going to spring. Did she have them in winter? If so then she is losing her winter fur. Can we also see some pictures?
