Comet- our dearly departed cat/dog- he was 16 1/2 yrs old and died in June.

Moses, my son's 13 year old cat- also rescued when he was a tiny little thing- for my son's 13th birthday all those years ago. He's a love.

Riley- our 1 yr old who owns my daughter...

Riley again- she was a sickly little kitten at a cat rescue 1 yr ago and she reached her little paw out towards my daughter. That was the.end.of.our.search.

Willy- 1 of our rescued Barn Cats- he makes mice tremble!

Lily, our other fearsome Barn Cat- rescued over 3 yrs ago from our local shelter...she went from not being able to be touched to jumping on our laps and purring.

My new baby Sophia, 3 months old, Ragamuffin that I waited for and chose...she sleeps with me even, right between my hubby and me.

We've had so many kitties over the years- a little old lady retired breeder Persian Meisha...she was a sweetie pie and she's been gone for about 10 years now. She had a funny little way of sticking her tongue out and letting it sit there...she was so funny!
Then my daughter had a Himmie mix rescue Molly- and last summer was so bad with fleas here that the indoor cats had to have their first ever flea treatments. Molly had a bad freak reaction to hers and died 15 min after it was applied to her back...She was almost 10 yrs old when she died. We still haven't recovered from the trauma of it.
Here she was with my daughter in happier days....

And now we foster kittens for our shelter- we had 7 over the summer and then last week we got a mama cat and 7 babies still nursing (3 weeks old). She got sick, she went back to the shelter's vet (with her 2 biological babies 2 days later so she could nurse them and not be depressed) and we were left with 5 orphan surrogate babies. 1 passed away and the other 4 are here still- now 4 weeks old and eating like little pigs- when we feed them from a syringe- and crying like we're starving them if we leave them with a saucer of kitten food slathered in kitten milk to eat themselves. Silly babies!
