I don't have any indoor cats but my outdoor cats are always eating grass and stuff so I don't see why you couldn't pick some and give it to them.

There were no injuries here also.....This is why I live trap mine no injuries that way . Coons is kill and release cats go to the shelter. If the nasty neighbors are looking for their cats It's a OH well to me. There safe now .
Just discovered this thread, I wonder if anyone can tell me if this cat is male or female.
We got it at the shelter and it had a hysterectomy scar freshly done, was called a spayed female. Last night I had the cat on my lap and it went to clean itself, and near the anus, I saw a maybe two or three inch penis come out. When I had my husband come and take a look, it had retracted, and the cat hates to have its bum looked at.
Here are a few pics, if anyone wants to guess on its gender

Anybody feed fresh grass to their indoor cats? My big male has been really going after my Christmas cactus, called the pet store and he suggested oat grass, fresh catnip, and change in cat food to Eagle Brand. I just bought their big bag of normal catfood, but I bought the grass seed and its going, already an inch tall. But I put my plant on top of the fridge and he hasnt jumped up their yet to get it. But I am scared since we are in the middle of packing, and soon to be moving that he will jump up and either knock it off or eat more and puke everywhere again. But I can't give him the grass starts yet because it is too short, and I didn't have any cat nip seeds like i thought either. Plus him and his sister are fighting like strays now that wehave a mountain of boxes in the livingroom, so I am scared to kennel them together and I only have access to one kennel. It is a medium dog kennel, and will only be for a couple of minutes till the new house and put in the bathroom, but I was hoping to keep them kenneled incase someone needs the bathroom and all the doors are open.
Any ideas guys, one is declawed (female cranky one) and the other is not.
the only was I could tell gender was to look (or feel) if where a male, even altered there would be a "nut sack" there. on a altered male it's really small compared to an unaltered but it still be there. (pardon if this does not pass the BYC rules would someone alter it to fit? I do not wish to offend)
Thanks for responding everyone! Really helpful. It's a good cat, in the end we will keep him? Her?What a cutie! Being a vet tech I find this a very entertaining post. Lol. Don't be offended, cats are not a obvious as dogs to sex! It is hard to tell from the pictures but I can give you some tips to determine if it is a male or not. Like oldrooster said if "he" was neutered the testes would have been removed leaving an empty sac would still be present IF his testes were descended at the time of surgery. However, if "he" was neutered before they had dropped or "he" had a condition called cryptorchidism (undescened testes) it is possible that he was neutered in a similar style to a spay(with an incision down the abdomen).
That being said here is my tip! The easiest way to determine if she is really a she is to look at the distance between the anus and either the vulva or the penal opening. If it is a girl, her vulva will be in close proximity to the anus (like right under it). If she is actually a he the penal opening will be further away from the anus (about an inch or so). If you would like some pictures for reference I chased my cats around with my cellphone. haha. I could send you those through PM instead of posting cat butts.
I hope this helps!
