I posted a couple of weeks ago about introducing my new chicks to my old biddies, worrying about aggression only to find 2 of the buff orpington chicks under one cornish hen's wing one evening. I finally got pictures - not with the buff orpingtons, but a columbian wyandotte. Adorable!![IMG] Also - please help me identify the white one next to the snuggled pair - she looks like a leghorn, but has blue/gray feet. The rest on the perch are a few more pullets.

Haha I love the little head poking out. No clue on the white ones breed.

Cornish rock? And OMG that second pic is too cute for words! The mothering instinct is powerful.

Our Ameraucanas have blue-grey legs/feet. We have a white one that looked a lot like that white one when she was younger. Now she has a bit of a ruff growing around her upper neck and cheeks.

    Great pics. Thanks.

That gives me hope too. I just mixed my flocks earlier this week. It's been a long process. But last night, one of the teenagers was trying to snuggle in with an older chicken. So cute!

Your white hen looks like ameraucana to me. I have several that are solid white with grey-green legs.

    Cute pictures!!
