In very hot climates, some folks have only a couple solid walls on their coops and wire walls for the other two. I guess that is somewhat helpful as the high air combined with chicken heat wouldn't build up as high. I know one ARIZ chickener who air conditioned his coop. BUT, even if it was set for only 10 degrees less than outside temp, it would still feel cooler instead.
