You do your best to make your chicken a nice cozy box and in the end they choose the bag of shavings. Oh well atleast she is happy.

Thank you, I do know that. Those shavings are for us in the house. Since she only popped in there for a few minutes, I figured it wouldn't hurt her.

So after much research I have decided I'm going to order 2 pekins, 2 golden 300's, 1 buff, and 1 blue swedish from MPC. They will be hatched on March 4th and get to us by the 6th.
I can't wait!

One of my chickens has yolk and albumen coming out of her vent. We found her in the nest box, lethargic. So I brought her in and felt inside her, no shells, but as soon as I removed my finger a lot of yolk and albumen shot out of her. (Not kidding it shot out).
So I gave her an epsom soak and flushed her out with vinegar water. I have been giving her nutri-drench/water mix periodically.
Its gonna be a long night.
