Cayuga Angel Wing

Little booger is too fast for my phone. But he is just beautiful. I only put the sock on him 4 nights.

I thought I would update this thread. I’ve hatched 5 female cayugas. They are around the same age. And a couple are developing angel wing. What is interesting is that 2 of them are Pekin Cayuga crosses. Their wings look fantastic. But the 3 cayugas all look like they are getting it. With the smallest girl looking the worst.

Pekin Cayuga crosses- they look pretty good. They are also bigger than the others.

Start of angel wing. Most of these are after the bird has lifted the heavy new feathers back into place.

I will put a sock on Tiny because hers are starting to bend outwards. I didn’t do it this weekend since it’s been so rainy. The other two I will watch and see. All of their Dads are the one with angel wing in the first part of this thread. But I find it interesting the ones with a Pekin Mom have beautiful wings that are nice and tight up against the body.

It sounds like it might be genetic then? At least in this situation?
