My ducks finally started laying. I got my first duck egg of the year and my first ever Cayuga egg. It has any interesting marbling to it. I wonder it they'll stay like that.

You are in luck! All females have green heads! Do you mind posting any pictures? I am getting ready to put some Cayuga eggs as well as Pekin and Cayuga cross eggs in the incubator. So I’m interested what they will look like. Can girls have slightly green heads in this breed? I have a young duckling mixed with a Pekin that has a slightly green head and I am wondering if that means they are DEFINITELY a drake.
Do you mind telling me if you got yours from a hatchery or a local breeder? Beautiful egg by the way.My ducks finally started laying. I got my first duck egg of the year and my first ever Cayuga egg. It has any interesting marbling to it. I wonder it they'll stay like that.

That’s wonderful they have a program for the kids like that. I’m getting ready to start my incubator to do the same thing with my boys.Thank you.
I got mine from my niece's school. They got some kind of package deal where the breeder sent the eggs, incubator, and everything for the brooder. Then they send the incubator and brooder stuff back when done. They also got WH eggs but none hatched. I believe the teacher said it was from a breeder in TX. It sounds like it's something meant for schools to teach about hatching.
