Cayuga/mallard has mated with my rouens

How different! would be neat to see the eggs and the hatchlings when they occur. The blends of the breeds certainly can produce some unique birds.

No offense, but I assume that your interest in your ducks is greater than others' interest.  Since there are no questions, it's difficult to have conversation about someone else's ducks.

This thread is about Cayuga , mallards , and rouens so no offense but you didn't have to be rude about anything :(

I have cayugas and I love them! They are absolutly stunning.

Hoe do you reduce that amount of white feathers that a Cayuga duck gets?

I don't think you can. I havw boys so they don't get the white feathers only the girls do. I think the white feathers can be very pretty as they get more white. They have a very pretty dappled coat. But thats just my opinion.

Yeah dusky has white feathers , she is although mainly dark almost all black but that's how she came her now 3 of her babies last year were all black while 4 of them where black with only a bit of yellow on there backs .

But other than that try breeding only the females with less white feathers and eventually you might get all black in the female .

The older the female is the more white feathers she gets. Its like gray hair in people, the drakes stay forever young ;). Unfortunately, the white feathers can't be bred out of them.

Ohh sorry , I've been trying to breed out the crested part of one of my rouens , hopefully I don't end up with a crested rouen Cayuga mix , but I'm trying to breed that out while trying to breed in white tipped wings

Also stronger wings , for some reason my rouens can't 'fly but can get off the ground a good 5-6 feet .
