You could always try splitting an order with someone in your area, maybe putting up a craigslist add to find someone.
Another option would be a local feed store, mine orders for people who only want a small number of birds, combining various orders. This might limit your hatchery options though.

Agreed. But if quality doesn't make too much of a difference to you, then that may be a good option for you. Just ask to see if you can get them sexed or not. Some feed stores only sell straight run so if genders matter to you be sure to find out before you get some.
