Cellulose Pulp as Bedding in Nest boxes

Anyone have experience using this in nesting boxes or opinions?


Its that stuff made from recycled paper pulp - supposed to be dust free and chemical free.
It looks super soft and warm.
and wondering if it would help prevent crop impaction if they happened to eat it as opposed to straw and shavings.

It is pricey - but if only using for nesting - or isolation boxes - not so bad.

Some people use shredded junk mail in the nest boxes...don't see how it would be different.

I use it for my bunny, and love it. Never thought for the chickens...

I was wondering about shredding junk mail, but I thought maybe the ink might be toxic. I sure get enough of it to save me some money on bedding.

My thought on the junkmail is the same - and the sharp edges - I suppose chickens can get papercuts too. I know I do.
