I know the first time I delt w/them I thought I was until I realized that is just their noisy personalities! But I think they think the more noise they make the more likely you are to be fooled into letting them go!

I asked DH if he knew how many chickens 10x20 would hold, yep he knew, so I asked, so how many are we getting?......wait for it......10.

Ha I'll get more, can't have empty pens you know. Have to have a few back up just in case. In case of what I don't know, but I will think of something. Predators sounds plausible right. Hope to start the big coop and run this week. So are we going to post wish lists? Sort of like Dear Santa, I have been a good girl, I want..... I don't think I want any of those that have to be chased around so hard or won't come in. I want to start easy and work my way up. DH saw some signature lines with numbers owned of chickens, he said, please tell me they didn't start with just a few

The crazy chickens aren't so bad if you get them started right, I bring them home and lock them up for a week or so before letting them out, and they have always come back in to roost at night, even the Key West chickens came back at night..

Well if you have a coop that will hold 25-30 you will have them. They ARE addictive & then your gone...It took me almost a year to find out what I really wanted & I still pick up some here there & yonder to add to the flock! BUT the chickens we are talkin about were let out in my yard as poults to raise up so I didnt have to feed them in pens because they are really hardy & now they think you are killing them if you get close to puttin a hand on them & Blue Roo now has them in her little paws! Your honi will be shoppin by the time your coop is full. They start watchin them & gettin attached ect then they are almost as gone as you are.

It is almost a three hour drive for some of us....and SUnday is a lot harder cause of going to work next day and school and all.....Just my opinion.....

Vote for G'ville on a Saturday. A bit more centrally located for everyone and Saturday is best for us.

Would prefer up here, since we did Gainesville last time. And Jax is larger, so hopefully we'll have a bigger turn out. Plus maybe we can con some south Ga. people into coming.
