I have a question about my buttons...do I have to pair/trio them, or can they all just live together, as long as they're not fighting?

It depends on what color of Buttons you have. But if your Buttons have the bibs like the Courtinex do then they are male. But when I was raising them they were fine together. But I had about 20 in one huge pen so I didnt have much fighting. When I kept them in 10 gallon aquarium I did have problems. But a big pen is the trick to them I think.

Well, I know I have 2 boys and 2 girls, but the other 4 are undecided. Right now they all live together w/ 4 Coturnix.

Man my Courtinex would have killed them! They were mean--Chickenzoo keeps hers w/her chickens & they beat up on the chickens!LOL Well the ones I had a time trying to figure out was the whites & the really pale blue color. Those were the 2 hardest for me. If you email me a pic I can try to tell you. Cant hurt any ways.

I'm too lazy to get a pic right now, but maybe tomorrow. The ones I can't tell about are only 4-5 weeks old, so that may be why. Plus 2 of them are silver. 2 are darker and 1 of them has a very thin white line, but not as big as the other one their age, so not sure about it.

No I didnt mean tonight. I am about to sign off & let you study some so you can give animals TLC!LOL No but the one w/the smaller bib you may find is a less dominate male. That is what happened w/a few of mine. But yeah tomarrow is fine. I will take a look & see if I can help you out. They are full grown at 8 weeks so we should be able to tell the difference or give it a good try. Hope you have a good study night. GO STUDY girl you are never gonna pass sittin here talkin to us chickens.

Three buttons in a fishbowl.

from the last swap! one is light colored and 2 are dark. can we tell gender from this?
