Tailsnfeathers, Im giving some serious thought to hatching some more. Kelly already has a splash from that cross. I have a blue aracauna hen in with my blue rocks. She doesnt bother anyone, and lays me a nice medium sized blue egg, so I just keep her where she's happy, and Mr. B loves her anyway. Actually, I hatched out one of her eggs when I hatched some blue rocks, and after they all hatched I realized I couldnt tell which one was the olive egger, since the babies were all blue. I now can tell which one it is in the coop, cute little chickie with poofy cheeks (no little tufts on that one, tho) and a body like her momma. Ill bringing that one to the swap. Im hoping they will lay olive eggs. I may well set some more.

Me too!! Momma only has one, so it was quite a surprise to see this one with 2. But I dont know anything about aracaunas, so maybe its perfectly normal.

Ugly Eddy is cute. I got one from the swap we have "issues" with too. (house chicken for the moment so she won't be lonely)hmmmm is it the time of year or something? I have more pens going than I had planned.
