Hi all, looking forward to the swap and yard sale. Gosh my 2 favorite things.
I have a delemma. My neighbor has a Barred Rock rooster. He's huge, at least 10 pounds . He's a real gentleman to the hen, but the hen got her head ripped off some night a few months ago and the neighbor never noticed till I told him a week later. One time a crow got into the run and he went after it and ended up hangin upside down by a leg on the fence. I happened to see him and jumped the fence and rescued him. He had his eyes closed and I thought he was dead. But I held him for a long time and he finally acted normal.
He is living in a 4x8 pen and they never let him out, I've asked them a million times. They feed him just corn. Leftovers now and then.
I'm thinking he does not like men. He's never attacked me. But has attacked the neighbor man next door.
Is anyone interested? I feel real sorry for him cause he's stuck in this tiny pen staring at my hens all day. I have 5 roos already. I am pretty heartsick over the conditions he's living in.
