I hate the luck ya'll are having with turkeys, I lost my Blue slate tom on Christmas day, fell off his roost and broke his neck. Now I have 2 BS hens, a RP hen that lost her mate when DH was in hospital. The only Tom I have is a Narragansett he is a beautiful Tom. I thought I would be smart last year and took about 13 babies my hens hatched and put in my brooder we had a bad storm when DH was in hospital and I lost them all. I think next time I will let their mama's raise them. My Indian runners are all different colors I will check them all out tomorrow and get the colors of the males and let ya'll know. The runner/roen crosses are beautiful tall and with the roen colors they are pretty. Is anyone going to have any New Hampshire Reds ???

Its got me stumped. I mean I am sorry to hear of his demise but I have never heard of that & now I am trying to picture it! I am sure its happened before dont get me wrong I just cant get it through my head! I had coons get a hold of my pair & all my Nargansetts so I am right there w/you! The 1st night I put them out they killed all 10 turkeys I had.
 
All I know is he had the same roosting spot for almost a year now and he was there Christmas Eve and when I went out Christmas morning he was right under his roost with a twisted neck, that's all I could figure happened. I am going to keep my hens because 1 is the fist I hatched and raised myself and she doesn't really know she is a turkey.......lol.

I understand neither do mine.....except my tom doesnot like the other tom I have....He is going to be processed real soon.....so he will not have the threat he thinks he has.....
 
What kind of chicken did seminole post a pic of, sort of looks like 2 of mine? I don't have any chickens to swap yet, so I am looking to buy.
 
It looked like a Mille Fleur to me...................I am also looking to get some STD cochins.......hint hint Ladybug.....lol. Do you thing you will have any of them to bring and if so what colors do you have ?

I tell ya I think everyone this year has had some problem w/either their chickens, turkeys, Peas, pheasant, quail....ect something has happened to almost everyone I have talked to this year mostly coons & dogs though.

Actually I wish I didnt have anything to sell. I just want to come buy & go home.
