Chain link price

I stopped by a chain link store today, and I told them I needed 20ft of 6 foot tall chain link. The guy quoted me a price of $39. He siad he was basically just "giving" it to me at cost. I have never bought any before, all the stuff I used on my coop was just given to me. What is a good price for chain link per foot?

It is a volume game. The longer the fence is, the lower the cost is per foot. Shop around for someone that does any type of fencing. Perhaps your local newspaper. With a little luck you may be able to reduce the cost by 50%.
