Chalky Eggs

Hi, My quails produce chalky eggs. Would this be due to a lack of calcium? I give them the same food as the people I got the quails from ( meatmeal crumble, designed for quails) yet their eggs are nice and shiny. Is it ok to incubate the chalky eggs?

Do you mean like a matte finish? That's just bloom on the egg. It washes off. It's better to leave it on when you incubate, though.

Yes, like a matte finish, but if I wash them it goes a little shiny but once they dry they look matte again

Some just lay eggs with more bloom than others. They're perfectly fine to incubate.
