"champagne " colored tuxedo patterned Coturnix ?

Well, I don't know what color. I only have Jumbo Browns and Manchurian Golds so far. So that's all I really know for nowand I had to get my M. Golds verified. But more to come and I will learn colors as I go.

It's a pretty girl. Are you in Texas? I bet she would go well with one of my big M. Gold boys. Lord knows I have 9 4 weekers so I have extras.

Its a shame others were picking on them. Seems the Whites always getting picked on. My Big Bad Bertha pecked both of my Whites and I had to cull them. I could have given them Poly Vi Sol and blue coated them. But at the time I didn't have an extra pen for them. I do now.

Did you have to give them Vitamins to build them up and help pull them through?

Are they laying for you yet? Sometimes after trauma and a change it takes a while for them to get back in stride. I am assuming they are at least 7 weeks.

Very pretty. Good luck with them.

That's a white coturnix. Dust bathing in sand that has a very high content of red clay.

It tints them yellow to orange, depending on the clay content of the sand.

Wow, I don't know why everyone insists on that being a white stained bird. Open your minds people. I can see pure white feathers amongst the champagne so it is obviously NOT staining or they would all be that color. Staining doesn't miss one feather perfectly & stain all the others around it. You have an unusual colored bird there. I would pm monarc23 & ask her what she thinks as she seems to be knowledgeable.

It is just the most logical explanation that I can come up with at the moment. However, if you have raised more (White Coturnix) than I have...then I would forget about PM's to anyone. It is a white coturnix...nothing more!
Anyone that tells you otherwise, is just yanking your chain.
Never confuse my amounts of posts with my amount of experience with any species that I post on.

They are about 1 year old. Both have been laying non stop since the day they were given to me. they didn't even stop long enough to adjust to their new home...lol
I was putting antibiotic drops in their eye sockets for a while but that's it. They had been like that for weeks before i got them. The other girl is fine unless she stresses then she "spins" .I think the injury caused some nerve damage or something...she's a good girl in any case and i'm happy they were given to me instead of being culled.

A clean white rag and a little water would tell you a lot about if it is stained or what not, turpentine in pine shavings would produce about that color . Walmarts pine shavings cost more then southern states but they are dryer and do not stain the white birds as quickly. this is why I put mine on wire as quickly as I do, that and it gets / keeps the poo balls off their feet.
