Manchurians are dominant in coloring so I recommend breeding her with another Texas A and M...She probably has some recessive white in her so you can see if the color appears on the offspring...

an A&M from the same breeder she came from or different?
I'm trying to get more of the "Champagnes" from her but i don't know if she'll agree to parting with more of her birds. She raises them primarily for a raptor rehab place.

i got a Mancharin from the batch of babies she gave me 1 1/2 weeks ago. (she says it's an oddball cuz she has "white Coturnix and brown Bobwhites."
i finally got enough details from doing the 20 questions thing with her to verify that what she has are white Coturnix and jumbo brown Coturnix...NO Bobwhites...she's not happy that she was fooled about the Bobwhites. I'm happy however that i don't have "Bob-birds" or whatever people call them!

What is best to breed a Mancharian to? i've read that you shouldn't breed mancharian to mancharian . is this true? Do they have some lethal gene?

is there another color that Mancharians can be bred to successfully with out the 25% loss? Is that 25 % actually wont be able to hatch or do they die in the shell without fully developing?
which colors are dominant and which are recessive with Coturnix?
What is the best source to learn all this sort of info on Coturnix genetics...or is there one aside from talking with people who are raising them?

I studied it in research and college, with publications and such...it is really finding a person who knows this stuff:p

If I start typing it will become a paper so I will probably make a thread
