I only raise coturnix...noting else. I also have to disclose the fact that I raise them as a duel use bird. Eggs and meat. That not withstanding...They are charming birds! I think I devote well over 1/5th my pen space to birds that are to cute/endearing to send to the chopping block.
i sure can understand how THAT can happen! if any of mine go into the pot it's going to have to be someone else 's pot cuz i just can't see myself eating what i had nurtured...just my issues...maybe in the future it'll be different but i doubt it. i used to have mocovy ducks and they never made it to the freezer either....my DH was soooooo disappointed.lol
