I bought a Brahma hen, a rooster has been mating her before I bought her and she has just started laying but unfortunately she didn't lay for two days after the purchase and I haven't see my male Brahma rooster mounting her but when I went to see her today I saw she has just laid an egg. I wanted to know if the eggs will be fertile? Thanks in Anticipation.

:welcome Her eggs should be fertile as hens are capable of storing sperm for considerable periods of time - up to two weeks of high fertility after removal of a rooster, up to three weeks moderate fertility, and some fertility up to four weeks.

You should be able to tell when you break eggs open to eat.
Do you plan on hatching soon?
If you want pure Brahma, wait a month.
