Change of plans

I have the worst luck with youngins going broody! So Onyx just turned 1, she went broody for the first time about a month after she started laying and is on her 3rd hatch this year. Tuesday I noticed Nymeria (6 month old Isabel ameraucana who has been laying for 3 weeks) on the camera in the nest box damn near all day, I took her out when I got home from work with zero fuss. Wednesday morning she went right back in there and stayed all day, I removed her again (she was screeching at this point). Thursday and Friday, rinse and repeat 🤦‍♀️ I'll be locking her up in the grow out pen in the morning after I get it set up with food and water.

Getting ready for Christmas! Plum jam and berry-ale jam 😋

You have a persistent one...🙂
I fought with Black for the longest time after her hatch, she was a hard one to break.

How is Onyx doing with her little ones?
I believe she is on day 9, I'm going to candle after work. She's a great broody, so I don't worry about her to much.
