"Changes to child labor laws hurt farmers."

Your right rebel you don't know me or our operation and I for one am sick of people including the siuts and know nothings in Washington trying to tell us how when should live and act like they are protecting us.

So what a couple of lousy pics off the internet, big whoop.
I am a trained Farmedic those pics don't mean anything to me.
Maybe you should have heard about that 70yo man who was caught in some baling twine and dragged into a feed grinder. Yeah they had to auger it out to find all of him. This happened in Texas recently.

So you see accidents happen all the time on farms and ranches and age means nothing. So now I wonder if they are going to ban us from using twine now.

May be right.. I though my reading of what the laws said was that your kids could work your farm but not others. Your kids over 16 could also run tractors an the like. Under 16 could after a safety class.
Ain't that what most states require for boats, cars ATVs an the like?

Yep they are just pictures on the internet but they are real pictures of reality. Cant exactly post pictures of the things I have actuality dealt with.

As for those pictures not meaning anything to you, I bet if the farming community would quit with that attitude long ago these farm safety people would have never went to the government.

Yes, something similar and brought forth by the folks doing the farming not the bureaucrats. Done at the local level would be OK with farmers input and participation.
