I have talked about a bad incubator I have in another thread that otherwise works but the automatic turner is either defective or of poor design and it kills the eggs after week 1. I now use that incubator as a manual turn unit and it works well in that capacity. I have a second incubator that is a Harris Farms Nurture Right and it works well. It has an automatic turning mechanism that turns the eggs 3 times a day.
My Nurture Right is about to free up in a few days. I'm currently hand-turning 22 eggs in the other unit. I turn them twice a day 180 degrees. I am thinking of moving them to the Nurture Right once its free and I clean it up.
Does anyone see a problem moving eggs from one incubator to another where the turning pattern is going to change? The eggs will be near 2 weeks old when I make the transition. They'll go from being turned twice a day to 3 times a day and for different amounts of turn than what I do.
