The Glossies are just doing what they've evolved tens of thousands of years to do. We, on the otherhand, have eradicated their habitat and altered their climate to such an extent that they can no longer survive ... all in under a single century. Then we have the gall to get upset when they won't or can't adapt right away? Or irritated because someone didn't think ahead when they set up a response to the last man-made disaster?
"Dummies," For Real. I hope the cockatoos don't pay the ultimate price, because then we ALL lose!

Best intentions…. Most times fail miserably.

Sure hope they can be helped along though they are very pretty.

Just got this for this weekend its been this way since thanksgiving up here and I am officially SUPER over it

Yep it’s been a crazy winter. What’s the real temp going to be?

We have same alerts out for -24C and windchills in the -30s. Brrrrr!

I think without windchills its gonna be like -10F but its been below 5 degrees every night for over a month so its not terribly colder than normal without the wind. I dont need summer but double digits without the negative symbol in front of it would be lovely. Like 12 degrees? Love it 15?? Wow its mild out plus with my coop it tends to stay about 10° above ambient temp so if it can stay above 10° out id feel so much better about the chickens

Yes, tree cavities is the usual nest of choice but a lot of the old trees were destroyed by fire.
