Charleston we have a Broody here!

There’s going to come a time when she is going to want to take her ducklings out to teach them life lessons.
I know! Hopefully they have grown enough by that time so that the other ducks are not as much as a threat to them. Nona is sleeping right at the gate:

I am betting Nona is feeling motherly. It happens here when there are babies. Or Broody’s it’s contagious. They sure are adorable:love
Remember, Nona was the only duck talking to the Spring Ducklings this year. And she was the first to accept them once they were outside, she has such a friendly personality! There is a good chance that some of the babies are hers as she was sharing the nest with Katharina. They have been sitting on the nest together multiple times.

Watch to make sure they don't trample the new little one. How many eggs left?
I was about to ask: The little one is running around with the others, eating and drinking! Is it ok for a less than one day old duckling to eat and drink?
There are two eggs left in the nest, but only one is from the original clutch, the other one is a coocoo egg from Nona from Sunday morning. Katharina still sits, so there might be an 8th duckling… - Already seven out of nine is an impressive hatch rate.
