Twice the size of the Garage-Brooder! And that was for 14 ducklings. As long as Katharina is OK, they can have the bedroom until the ducklings are large enough to chew off Erpelchen's drakehood…

I know! Hopefully they have grown enough by that time so that the other ducks are not as much as a threat to them. Nona is sleeping right at the gate:

Remember, Nona was the only duck talking to the Spring Ducklings this year. And she was the first to accept them once they were outside, she has such a friendly personality! There is a good chance that some of the babies are hers as she was sharing the nest with Katharina. They have been sitting on the nest together multiple times.

They all have such different personalities. She’s probably make a good baby sitter if mama needs one. Yes I remember Nona at the coop talking to the spring babies.

I was about to ask: The little one is running around with the others, eating and drinking! Is it ok for a less than one day old duckling to eat and drink?
There are two eggs left in the nest, but only one is from the original clutch, the other one is a coocoo egg from Nona from Sunday morning. Katharina still sits, so there might be an 8th duckling… - Already seven out of nine is an impressive hatch rate.

Yes if it’s ready it will eat and drink and having the others to show it what to do..and so precious !
