Charleston we have a Broody here!

OK but I researched cat food and I saw what goes into it- many animal byproducts-- I use laying pellets and and our ducks started laying in Winter with 1
It depends on what kind of cat food you're gonna buy. - And no, i'm not buying the expensive organic, climate-neutral, good for the environment, medical doses of cat-food! I just grab a bag when we're doing groceries and that's it.
The duckies main food supply - apart from what they find outside - are meat-bird pellets with 18% protein. The cat food is just another treat to prevent us from going bankrupt on meal-worms…
»What's going into it« - I can pretty much ruin my wife's appetite for duck-eggs if i remind her about Blanca duck's mouse hunting skills! Think about all the disgusting things our ducks eat. We would die of diarrhea if we would even look at it! And yet we can eat their tasty, clean eggs.

Separate areas temporarily let the adults out get them set up then let mama and babes out this will be for a few weeks then hopefully the ducklings can keep away from drakes, Erpelchen May have to stay in drake jail if he doesn’t behave.
Good idea! - I'm getting duckling-blind, should have thought about that myself.
I need to go and buy some fencing, the cheap plastic fence i have is not retaining ducklings…

plastic fencing works then you can take it down once ducklings are larger. I figured she’d want to take them out she only has like 3-5 weeks to teach them life lesson. Just put their temp area where you can get mama and ducklings back to their bedroom before putting the others up. And she has a way of keeping them from being out in the open. How about their retreat you made moving mom and duckling up there if secure? De temp fencing around it. If you move her catch her first out her in new place then go in and catch the ducklings. You’ll need a deep box or dog crate. I’d say she’s done with any eggs left in the nest. But always candle before tossing. Good luck. Most of us have been right where you are. And lived! lol.
I will take the waterer and the feeder out of the duck-house - the ducks are already used to this - and then run some fence from the duck-house door to the house, so i have two separate areas. Good idea! Thank you very much!

As a temporary measure i removed the feeder and the waterer for the grown-ups and gave them access to the whole house. Also added a bin with lukewarm water and they all took a bath. And i introduced me as the "Axe-Murderer", because i forgot to collect the eggs first! Removed the remaining two eggs from her nest and it turned out those were none of the original nine she was sitting on but from somebody else (Nona).
Which means one egg has disappeared! - Seven Fluffbutts, one Stinker and one missing. So it is seven ducklings finally.
Video of bath time is uploading...
I need to hit the road to buy some fence…
