Hello back. Even though you live so far away your boy is worth the drive. I don't think he'd like living with my girlsHi. I'm in New Jersey![]()

I’m hoping he stays as sweet and polite as he is now... I’m fully prepared for that to change, but I am still hope.
Maybe he’ll be the first rooster who doesn’t crow and I won’t have to worry about the neighbors... or the police.
Have you seen the no crow collar? I have never tried it first hand but supposedly reduces the volume for the Suburban Roos.
Thanks, Mary. I have heard about the boys turning from polite young men into violent cads. Until that day, i have hope... and maybe an unrealistic “belief” that he feels my love and would never betray the bond we have. I also believed as a child (or maybe a young adult) that my cat understood and spoke English but simply chose not to because it was “above all that conceptual language stuff”.This is one of the most difficult parts of chicken keeping; those extra cockerels! I do hope you can find him a home, he will be beautiful!
If you can keep him, I also hope that he stays polite as he matures, always iffy with cockerels.
Good luck!
Mary
