My photos aren't HD(I wish!!)but the kindle fire gets grumpy sometimes

would anyone on here be interested in joining my new RP?it only has 2 members right now and one is co-owner!

I can't right now, Bush, I have so much on my plate that i's not even funny- hope you get some recruits though!!!!

Goodness Gracious, no wonder they are so expensive!! Course, that egg really is gorgeous, I would take an arm and leg too, if I had them for sale!

my friends mom has a crushed arm with bones broken in several places but is doing okay today .. they did surgery to repair most of the breaks this morning from what I understand !!

on a happier note -

my eggs are here my eggs are here ... and in the replacements there was only one broken one !!!

So hoping she makes a speedy recovery- still sending prayers her way!! Thanks Sil for the update!!

nope not my first hatch but my last til after summer .. these are the jg DH wanted so really hoping we at least get 6 hens or so and a roo or two maybe three out of it ) my sister wants a roo) !!

last hatch was the 5 bantams ... they are already growing too fast for little guys !!

Toby is doing better today!

but my broody escaped her box and pooed big time!then she was loose in my basement,THEN she didn't want to be broody!!She's all good now,but she scared me!

Wow, what a day, Silver, you had your work cut out for you. I'm not setting eggs, but there were a couple of times today, I really got nervous for some folks, and it still sounds like gardeningmama is in a pickle. Sad to here about your babies though.

Bush, if I ever get out of chickens for eggs and meat I'm gonna get some of those "toys" you call chickens. I think you called them top notch or top hats or something. I would just want to play with them all the time. They are sharp and so sophisticated looking. hehee Man, if a dude went to a park with a couple of those hanging out, you talk about a chick magnet. He would have a lot of attention. I guess it could work for a woman too! Do you show them?

I heard from chicknfun today, she's slammed and the weather isn't helping her either.
I did go and get the chickies from the pen outside. Their broody Mom's came off of them 4 or 5 days ago, too crowded in the pens. It's been warm outside so I let them be. (Just over 2 weeks old). But, with this weather, cold air and rains, I didn't want to take a chance. I put them in our outdoor bathroom off our back porch. I think I'm gonna just keep them close until they are a few weeks older since Mommy's can't keep them warm. Looks like we are about to get really slammed with a very bad line of storms.

Now I'm hoping the Easter pullets will be OK. They are in secure pens about 18" off the ground. Could get 4 to 6 inches overnight. I'll probably be out there checking with a spot light just to make sure. Coops are dry enough, just don't need a flood. Might move them in the shed tomorrow if the rain looks like it's going to continue on in this mode.
Still hope to get pics Sunday.

4-6"- OMG, Chirp

I know, I know. . .Well, I meant the pen is about 18" to 2' off the ground, with perch's above that about 6". They are on a hill. But still, the wind and rain. . . I actually went out at 3am, didn't wake DH, shhhh. They were high and dry, so I came back drenched and soak, haha.

Got a quick shower and relaxed. But was able to get to sleep by 4am.

Back out at 7am, still doing well. Some flooding on the lower end of our property. Will keep watching. I'll move them and pens in the shed if need to. DH will be home by 6pm and he's already on notice, hehee
Looks like the heavy stuff is beginning to head north and break up a little. The garden looks like it's still intact despite the winds/rain. Rain, rain, rain, please go away!

Bad about the flooding, but hope your house and chickens are gonna be ok!!
