Hey guys hope everyone wethered the storms safe. Still not much progress just the one with a decent size outward dent cracked more last night and this morning it's a circle of cracks and u can see him pushing it out wards. I just want to help him sooo much, keep thinking oh I could just hook that piece if shell with my fingernail and take it right off! My husbands call duck has been internally over 24hrs ago and the calls this egg came from breeder to show quality calls so they have tiny head and bills which worries me since they have a hard time pipping and zipping. When I get home I'm gonna check her process and do an exploratory pip. How are everyone's babies and hatches going?
By the way Tony I totally forgot to tell my friend where u live so I will text her right now and ask her about the gold laced W's (dont know how to spell) do u still need them?

just dropping by for a minute..sorry about those with migraines and too much business lol iam busy busy lately and kinda grumpy to boot so been hiding out a little ... power finally came on after about 3-4 hours.. it was a transformer somewhere .. wasnt really storm related... hope everyone has some good hatching .. gonna try and candle mine tonight and try to see if the drop did any damage or if they are ok ...

Ok update is like this!! The pip I was worried about. Zipped evvvveeennntttuuuaaallllyyyy!!!
27 hours later! (Bless) it had to zip not once but twice!! It had managed to pop a complete ring around the entire shell popping of the pattern of the shell. But then it had to go round and break its way through the membrane! It was sooo thick!! But it happened with no intervention!!
It took about an hour poor thing

On that note, get this. Day 21!! I have now got numbers 13,14,15,16... Zipping as I write this. And this is out of 23!! So I have 11 out! I think. Haha. Can't keep track. But the best news ever. Well it all is. But I had 3 shipped eggs that went in at lockdown. Number 13 is the 3rd that is now zipping. Looking at the other two that have hatched. I have ruled out 1 of three possible breeds for these two. They both are not CHOCOLATE ORPINGTONS, but are in fact and I think I may have both. Because there are slight differences. (Looking through the window if the bator) we may have these breeds. RhodeBar and MarshDaisy. Both are British and Both are very RARE!! They are never leaving my home ever!!! Haha.
Just trying to locat some pictures of MarshDaisys as Chicks at the minute. These are both Yellow but one as a slight red tinge. Although I wondered if that could be a little blood. But anyways. It's so EGG-CITING!!
I have also got 2 out of 3 selfBlue Minature Bantam Cochins hatched. And the other has pipped. And well I will update again later. And hopefully pics too

Sorry about the power but they should be ok, I will have my fingers crossed for your candling tonight! I know exactly what u mean about the hiding out thing, I've been in that same kind of headspace and if I didn't have to work I would lock my doors and just hang with may family and ducks to get away from the rest of humankind for a while (except u guys of course!)

Even though the pip is below the line of the aircell, the chickie can breathe. Will be ok! You need to breathe too lady!! You'll pass out and miss that hatch if you don't!!! I am imagining you GLUED to that incubator!!! Just watching!!! What a Blessed addiction, yes? yes, true, they can....

LOL I have only hatched 5 with broody, so I have no experience really

, but i have read that as well, and did take some of my broody's chicks a while!! I am on pins and needles for ya!! Good that you have the day home- small miracles, right?! I am so so so glad you hung in with us!!!

I know you are dealing with a lot, but we do love having you!!!!!!!!! again, SO GLAD!!

Glued! Yup yup yup that was me. Lol Bellah, I totally know the feeling. I am exactly the same! Can't be asked with most people! Actually makes you feel like a hobbit or something but yes. I love locking myself away for days. Except work gets in the way!

Anyone know anyone in Bunnell, Fl with a flatbed trailer that would move a shed??? I have $50 to move it 1 1/2 miles........

Hi Everyone!! Well, guy supposed to be here yesterday to move shed at 4, never showed up.....
can't move tools without moving shed first, .......back up person supposed to be here at 7am this morning can anyone say........

OK, done ranting now...Yeah, I hate moving too.

Guys, any ideas? I thought about strapping a tow strap around the thing and dragging it over to the house with my truck, but there is about 3 blocks that are actually paved between here and there, and afraid the pavement would wear the skids off completely!!
I called the local tow company, who BTW, DH knows personally, and the guy wants $150 to move it 1 1/2 miles

this is me lately .. thought id give us all a laugh ...sounds like we need it ...

yay for hatchings!!! i wont candle til its darker but maybe maybe i will see some movement .. the eggs were pretty full last time i candle .. tonight is night 14..so one week or less to go !! (i hear bantams can hatch early )
Dang chick .. wish i knew anyone nearby id get them to do it for ya ... and those sheds are heavy .. i hope ya find someone or figure something out ... !!!

And ty bellah..i do not handle stress well ..and with my insurance messed up havent been able to go to the dr... but i am feeling a little less hermity .. cleaning helps lol and cooking - i got about half my mess of a room done and finally have 1 box packed for the trip to ga lol only about 400 more to go .... and made a wonderful huge meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and corn ... mixing that meatload by hand was a bit relaxing ...
