Look what I found in the nesting box the other day. Had it's mouth around an egg. I grabbed it by the back of the head and squeezed. The egg slide right out.

It's like, your not eating my dang eggs stupid snake.

I don't mind at all-
I am an open book, and I am one brutally honest person at times! I do appreciate that you all have asked about me, and I want everyone to know that i am ok.
In a nutshell........my DH was very abused in every imaginable way as a kid. He had dealt with it well up till about 5 years ago. Then I started to notice that everytime things went our way and we started to get ahead, he would do something to destroy it for himself, and in turn for the family as well. None of it directed at the family. Now the whole thing has come to a head, so to speak, and me being the fighter that I am, I got to a point where I just couldn't take it any longer and I started trying to fight against it. That just made it worse, and his attitude got worse. Now we are going to get some family counseling which he would not do before, but he is willing now, and we both want to keep our family together.

One of the saddest things I have ever seen is a truly good and talented man be reduced to trying to destroy himself and not knowing how to stop it.
This is a man who raised my older 2 kids like they were his own, and for 12 years has struggled to support all of us so that I could stay home and be available for our autistic daughter.
He is not turning to drugs or alcohol, so that is a plus, but that is what is going on.

Please know that I miss and love you all so much!!!!!
I was hoping that someone would be here in the chat, but, alas, It is not that way-
I will try to come back on tomorrow and chat some!!!

Red wine does not go well with coffee

I thought I had picked up my coffee cup from yesterday, and poured in coffee, took a sip, and realizes that it was the mug that I used for my red wine

It could be worse. I once picked up what I thought was my dad's coffee cup, that had left over coffee from the day before, and I added fresh coffee, and a little cream, and served it to him. He is happy with old stale coffee. It took him a while to figure out what was wrong...at first he thought that the cream was a bit sour. He finally realized that it was a coffee cup full of the Madeira that my mom hadn't finished last night, with fresh coffee and some cream.

Being a very good father, he drank it all up, but said that that was not a breakfast drink he wished to repeat.
OMG, THAT WAS THE FUNNIEST THING I HAVE HEARD IN A LONG LONG TIME!!!!!!!

Other exciting news on the Alaskan front......

I opened my front door to see a Black Bear at my turkey coop. I have no idea what he was up to. He opened the door, went inside, went back outside, and then stood at the back of the coop looking into the coop (the bottom of the coop walls are solid, the top three or four feet are open).

I have no idea what he was doing. It didn't look like he ate the turkey food, and it doesn't look like he touched my turkeys.

So....... I put a much better lock on the coop door.

And I couldn't find the blasted gun anywhere!!!!! All we had by the font door were all of the pellet guns and BB guns. It was SO frustrating.

omg, i HAVE HAD SIMILAR INCIDENTS BUT NOT WITH BEARS....RACCOONS, AND NOT WITH TURKEYS...............TRASH
sorry bout the caps, not yelling, just tired and I have inept fingers....LOL
