I used to weigh about 60-70 pounds more than I do now. Food screamed my name, calling me, calling me, especially sweets.
One thing that really helped me lose weight was finding something else to do to get past that minute/10 minutes when all I wanted was chocolate. Go take a shower. Go for a walk. Take a nap, knit, whatever. Knitting was great, as it took both hands, and I couldn't eat while I was going it. I often read while I ate, so that wasn't always the best substitute.
This was long before the internet, or that would have been a good substitute.
