Clash of the Titans (the 2010 one not the 80s one) and the sequel Wrath of the Titans. They’re good. We watched Clash of the Titans in the hospital but I only saw part of it so I wanted to watch the whole thing and then found out there was a sequel and an original hahah there’s a lot of other movies we watched too so I’m gonna watch some of those next. Like rise of the planet of the apes. I think that’s what it’s called.
The new Planet of the Apes? They are amazing movies. The last one made me cry. A lot of movies make me cry, though. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hmm, I don't recognize any pure-breeding variety in Gaga. 🤔 I see some partial lacing, gold and possibly autosomal red (I'm not overly familiar with the gene, but the depth of red on him is reminiscent of birds I've seen others say have it), blue, and yellow skin. Cruella looks to me like a heavily leaky blue mottled, definitely gold-based as well, plus she has white skin and a crest.

From that, and knowing that Cruella is a mix so might not be pure for all the dominant genes she is expressing, I can see you getting a variety of colors based on gold, they might have zero, one, or two blue genes (meaning black markings might be black, or be diluted to blue or splash), at least part should have a crest like their mother, and either all will have white skin or half will have white and half will have yellow.

Looking at the chicks in your other picture, it looks like one might be mottled, meaning Gaga would have to be carrying the gene as well. Does the yellow chick with the dark saddle marking on its back in the group of chicks nearest you in that picture look brownish in person or is that just the lighting? From the picture, that looks like chocolate. That is a sexlinked gene, so Gaga would have to be carrying it if it is showing up in his chicks and not on either parent (at least to my eye), and only his daughters would inherit it. The alternative is dun, which neither parent appears to have, so I don't think that's it. I do see at least a couple that appear to have crests as well, and I don't see any yellow skin so it looks like Cruella might be pure for her white skin.

Soooo, long story short, going off of what I see in your pictures, I could see them feathering out primarily reddish or red-brownish with blue, black, or splash markings (or chocolate if the one really is that dark brown color and it's not just the lighting in the picture!). The dark one at the back and the one with the saddle marking might be primarily black ( / chocolate as mentioned) with red leakage, and the saddle marked baby might be mottled as well based on the amount of yellow on it (the mottling gene tends to add more yellow to the chick down).

Take all of this with a grain of salt, as mixed color crossings like this are far outside my wheelhouse with genetics!

Whatcha watching? :pop

This is really really interesting and informative! Yes, that chick does appear brownish in person. There are two chicks I believe with this brown saddle of sorts. I'd love some mottled babies as well! I'll definitely be posting pictures as they grow, probably weekly updates

Ohio Nationals pictures! After digging through all of them (and eliminating tag pictures I took to remember breeds and pictures that didn't turn out well), I ended up with 137 pictures taken there yesterday! Phew! Here is the gallery with all of them in it (hopefully it's visible for y'all :fl ) : https://www.backyardchickens.com/gallery/albums/ohio-nationals-2023.7430215/

The requested pictures. @fluffycrow here are your Seramas! I took more pictures of them than I realized, so this is just a few :love

Shamo, there were large fowl and some labeled 'Ka Shamo' that after looking it up I think they meant 'Ko Shamo' as in bantam? I don't know a whole lot about them, though, so correct me if I'm wrong there! Anyway, here are the 'Ko Shamo':

And the large fowl Shamo--the male was HUUUUUGE!! They had to prop his cage up on blocks because he was too tall for it!

There was just one hen I found that was labeled as an Aseel. She was adorable, though! :love

And there are bunches of bantams in the album, of course! 😁

@JacinLarkwell I took entirely too many pictures of Modern Games as always, so I'll just post my favorites here, but there are a few more in the linked album as well. The bantams are just so stinking cute and always so friendly and curious :love

I also took a ton of pictures of Cornish bantams, so this is just a few from them as well:

And Phoenixes, phew! There weren't as many as I expected there to be, but they were gorgeous!

Err, sorry for the absolute picture overload, y'all! I have a hard time picking favorites

Sounds like you have some pretty babies growing up there! Definitely excited to see how they grow--and to see how far off I am with my guesses on them! 🤭

Oh how GORGEOUS😍! Those serama are stunning! That boy looks really good, he reminds me of Lady Gaga's coloring but on a different base colour (I believe that's how you say it?). Yes, Ko-shamo is the bantam, essentially. There's three sizes. O-Shamo, Chu-Shamo, and Ko-Shamo, although I've read something about Kimpa Shamo, I think it's the same as the Ko. Ugh I'm in love

I was thinking that about that Serama boy!! He was so gorgeous, just like your guy! :love You are correct, he had a different base color; he was brown like either dun or chocolate instead of blue-gray like Lady Gaga looks in your pictures of him. They called him 'Wheaten' on his tag, but like, that's not Wheaten by any stretch of the imagination so they must have just needed a variety to put him under or something.

Also thanks for the explanation on the Shamo! They are right up my alley of weird and cool looking chickens, though the one was so tall I imagine he'd be intimidating to encounter in the chicken yard every day 🤭

I keep looking for Luna and/or thinking she’s there 😭😭😭

:hugs :hugs :hugs
