Yeah, none of the adults pictured on that page look like they're actually silkied to me, either. 🤔 They really do look fuzzy when homozygous for the gene. Finding clear pictures of them online is hard, though.

All this would stop me from getting any. Anything that can't hatch itself and is at a disadvantage because of the 'mutation' should not be pursued, imo. But I'm weird that way. :)

If I ever get Calls, they will NOT be show quality.
 
Can you imagine how many breeds will be lost if the power grid goes down? All those ducks and chickens that won't hatch their own eggs. Guess Cochin and Silkies will become high demand! :lau

I mean, you could always keep the non hatching ones and give those eggs to broodies to hatch
