@SandyRiverChick I notice you have a ragdoll kitty listed in your signature, any pictures of them? My kitty, Casper, showed up out of our woods one day, so obviously he wasn't carrying any pedigree papers with him or anything to be sure of his breed, but a lot of people think he could be either part or full ragdoll, or perhaps Balinese. I just know he's my baby boy and I adore him. :love

Oh my he's gorgeous!! The blue eyes definitely narrow down breed! Balinese, Burman, or Himalayan or Ragdoll mix would my guess. His coloring is called Seal Point. Lucky you to have an expensive cat just adopt you!!! This is my Moose (Ragdoll, mitted Seal Point, Lynx) and then my Chloe (Himalayan mix.)

Is he seal point? He's definitely a blue-gray color in person, so I've been calling him blue point, but of course I know about as much about cat breeds and their colors as I know about breeding and raising zebras. That's not much, for the record. 🤣

Ah, such beautiful kitties!! :love I love them! The one sitting in the dryer is so funny, like he's just had a run in there to fluff. 🤭

Adopted me, that's a great way of putting it! It was 3 weeks almost to the day after my previous cat had passed away and I had been having a horrible time with that, then I heard the chickens getting worked up and went out to find one dirty, scared, matted cat terrified by all the noise the chickens were making. Took me a week of coaxing him before he would approach me and now he's such a loving boy toward everyone he meets that you'd never think he was ever afraid of people. I was so sure someone was missing him, but it's been almost 16 months now and no one ever contacted me looking for him, no one put up any lost cat listings for him, no one called the local shelter looking for him, etc. We're in a very rural area where a lot of people seem to think it's okay to just dump cats, unfortunately, so all I can figure is that's how he ended up here, but I simply cannot fathom who wouldn't have been head over heels for this guy, he's such a perfectly well behaved and gorgeous cat! 🥰

Good point, I just saw his face but what do his legs look like? I'm sure you're better judge than me. And what a sweet story though I'm sorry for your kitty loss, I know how hard that is. This orange kitty just showed up in our yard and we're on a River with nothing but woods, no telling where he came from! I did the same thing, put adds on FB and everywhere and only 1 person mis-identified him. So he's an outdoor feral that I feed. He has not warmed up to us, very afraid of people.

They're gray like his face. Apparently the only recent pictures I have that show his legs and aren't in a weird lighting are of him being a total goober, but here you go. 🤣

What a pretty looking guy, too bad he's not warming up to you. Glad that you're taking care of him, though, as much as he'll let you at least. 🙂

It's hard to get Moose in other position too. He's certainly got the Ragdoll fluff as hard as it is to imagine him being abandoned! They're not exactly easy to come by or cheap. Have you taken him to the vet to get an estimate on age? Whatever he is ENJOY!! Sounds like he was meant to find you :love

Haha, I have a whole thread of Casper pictures here and the majority of them are him in goofy positions like that. 🤣 Every now and then he gives me the token elegant cat pose for a picture, but the rest of the time he's such a goober!

I still really do wonder about where he came from! I feel like I did everything humanly possible to find anyone looking for him, but no one came forward.

His vet estimated him to be about 10 months old at his first vet appointment with us. He just turned 2 years old last month based on that estimate. 🥰
