That's Bastet (black,) and Memphis (orange tabby.) Yeah, Memphis didn't like Bastet invading his space and Bastet is an - odd - cat. She's never happy and only really likes her mom Pixie (the tuxedo with the collar) to whom she is extremely bonded. Meanwhile most of the time Pixie just wishes she would go away. And then there's Zeke (the cat in front of the scratching posts,) who is "The Cat That Walked by Himself" and just wishes everyone would go away.

Sometimes I think it would be fun to get a second cat, but then again... I get enough shenanigans just from having this big ole goober around!

Hope you had a relaxing Thursday, too, regardless of whether you celebrate Christmas or not I don't really celebrate it beyond giving my niece and nephew a gift and maybe doing some baking, but I did take a lazy day to watch movies, eat said baking, and just veg out for a while

Debating on if I want to bother getting up at midnight tonight. I usually do, and I like the tradition of ringing in the new year as the clock clicks over... but I'm also tired.

Anyone have anything special planned tonight? Or anything interesting planned for tomorrow to ring in the new year?

Eh, doing all right. Thinking about the semester coming up and how much I'm dreading my schedule. But I've had a nice, relaxing break so far, so I can't complain too much!


How about you, how's it going? Also, what kind of appetizers? Now you've got me thinking about mozzarella sticks and how good they sound right about now...
