Might be a good thing. That bird flu has hit Michigan, and they said on the news that's where most of our turkeys come from. There might be a turkey shortage this coming Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Edit: Or was that Minnesota? I don't remember.

It's Minnesota. MN is the top turkey producing state in the country. Iowa is the top egg producing state (who knew?). Mn getting hit hard, some cases in NW Iowa now, one turkey place, one egg place. WI has a few cases, one a back yard flock. Nothing here in SE Iowa but I've stopped running my dogs around the pond. Apparently we could all drag it back home on feet and shoes. Fair number of wild geese layover there. Don't know how I'm going to keep my dogs in shape!! But not worth the risk.

I can smell a rotten egg (hopefully only one) in the Hovabator. How do I find out which one it is without risking an egg exploding in my face?

Idk but I thought exploding eggs was a myth. Till it happened. Its the most God awful smell. Mine happened on day 22. I didnt candle anything. A chick punted an exploding egg
