Ok. Your right, there has to be a better way for us to do this though! Nearly 30. a box to ship eggs for real? It seems we could over night them air mail cheaper?

I can double box and ship 14 eggs for 13.25. Alot of people can print labels online and ship for $11 and some change for medium flat rate box.
I put usps regional box "A" padded inside the medium flat rate box. It costs me $13.25 with tracking and $50 insurance

This morning I read on Alabama Chicken Trader page on FB and someone said the P.O. was now charging an additional 10.35 on top of the previous fees. I have not tried yet as my hens are broody. But I will overnight and pay express and see about special handling. I hope they don't!

I do not tell the usps what I am shipping. It would take a federal search warrant to find out

Can I ask all you seasoned shippers. Where and who has the best price on Live Chick Shipping Boxes. I have never shipped Live Chicks before. Any other advice is appreciated. TIA

I ordered ours from Murray McMurray I believe last time. I think I had $5 a box invested by the time I paid the shipping to our house for the boxes. I always ship ours with gro gel so they have that to get them started while they're in shipping. I've had 25 to 29 fit in the boxes from the comfortably as day olds. They always get shipped express from here but some people ship regular priority without issues. If someone is regular priority 1 day, I'm willing to do that, 2 day I am iffy and 3 day, I make them pay for express. I won't take a chance on the post office taking an extra day or two in regular priority with my chicks.

Thank you for all the info. I knew I came to the right place to get some help. So how do you know if someone is a 2 day or a 3 day?
