Chat Thread for the New Crazy 24 hour Auction

Our first ebay sale sucked. The buyer waited until her eggs hatched (in an LG 9300) to threaten me with negative feedback. I dont recommend selling on there.

Same. I once had a buyer wait a week to pay me for eggs, at which point the eggs I had collected couldn't be sent, then tried to start a claim on me when I didn't send her eggs out the minute she paid (because I now had to wait and collect more eggs) and THEN left me feedback, but on eggs she got from a different person because mine hadn't even made it yet and in the feedback (which was positive at least, but again, not on my eggs) she actually called me impatient for wanting her to pay me when she was supposed to and not a week later :barnie

Oh, that sucks... for both of you... :/

Thought about messing with ebay, but seems like the good people on there are the ones that get shafted and the unscrupulous get away with everything... :(

If you sell on Ebay you need to add a bunch of disclaimers. I sold there for a while last year. There is always going to be that one or two sales that the people are impossible. To spare yourself the aggravation it's best to add disclaimers. Mostly to leave feedback based on the shipping and condition of the eggs when arrived. Not on hatch rates. Lost of things go wrong in shipping. That and an individuals hatching methods can kill the embryo's.

You can protect yourself with the disclaimers. I was saved everytime by the disclaimers from having to give a refund or send out extra eggs. I was normally willing to send replacement eggs even if the PO destroyed them which was the case.

Again the disclaimers would keep you safe from these people too. State that the sale is for eggs to be shipped on a certain date. Late payment will result in a later ship date. etc.

I had a person that was very rude and I ended up sending them another set of eggs. They ended up refusing them and sent them back. They never wanted a refund or gave a bad feedback. As far as I know they passed away before the 2nd set arrived. I never heard from them again.

The thing was I had that disclaimer in my auction. She ignored it, and eBay probably would have sided with her had she not dropped the claim. eBay is geared toward protecting buyers, not sellers.
