Thank you again. I think I've got 1 more male that's lighter in color. It is missing the spots on the chest also but I do believe it is a different color. I caught one of the Texas a&m crowing this morning so I put zip ties on him.

Quail are very easy to vent sex starting at five or so weeks. Males will produce heavy foam. A recently bred female will also foam, but not as heavily. The gland is also noticeable on males of that age.

I was trying last night as these are just a couple days past 5 weeks and I couldn't get anyone to foam. I watched a ton of YouTube and maybe I still don't know what I'm doing.

I might be getting the hang of this. All thats left to fogure are the tuxedos, the rosettas,and the rest of the whites.

Both of the peafowl eggs I bought from bettacreek hatched! That's a 100% hatch rate on shipped eggs. I've only ever done that two other times. I wish I knew what color they are, but they sure are cute little guys!
