Chat Thread for the New Crazy 24 hour Auction

Just out of curiosity, is anyone still interested in hatching eggs by this point in the season? I know it's late.

To whom it may apply, eggs are only allowed to be shipped if they are not likely to be harmed by anticipated temperature changes while in Postal Service custody. Use your best judgment when shipping or bidding on eggs.

Sellers beware: If you ship live birds please review the pricing. USPS has recently jacked the prices of shipping oversize boxes so incredibly high. I do not know if other things/laws have changed regarding shipping eggs or live animals. This is by weight, so keep in mind weight when shipping eggs that are not shipped in a flat rate box.

Im here wondering the same thing, is anybody interested in hatching this late in the year? I have Foleys line of BLRW still laying for now, as well as black sex link chickens (svart hone over cuckoo marans hens) plus coturnix quail in a variety of fun colors and button quail.

The new dimensional shipping really sucks! Horizon has come up with a new box that will make it under the limit but it seems really small to me. Photo of new box next to the old box new horizon 3.jpg
Shipping eggs hasn't changed. If you use the USPS Priority boxes (even the large) you wil be fine.

I can't see how a large fowl chicken would fit in that white box

Come spring I would like black sex-link eggs but my silky are raising blue marans last of the year sorry but not interested in bantams have 4 silkie that is enough :gig

I have a question. How many different hatching egg breeds can be included in one shipment? I'm not up to par with the shipping laws.
The number of breeds is not an issue -an egg is an egg. The question is does the seller have paperwork showing that their parent birds have tested negative of certain diseases, to allow them to send to you if you are out of state. The regulations vary from state to state.
