I don't have the patience for proscessing so unfortunately I'm going to shell out 2.00 per bird to have it done. So that's about 3.55 per bird before feeding. I wonder what it would cost to feed a meaty to 8 weeks so I can get a more accurate picture.
We processed at seven weeks. The birds were good sized. Most, the vast majority, netted 5lbs or more dressed. We went through 800lbs of 20% Grower for 67 birds -- a little over 12lbs per bird. We moved the tractor every day to fresh grass and fed 12 hours on and 12 off.
