Gumdrops, is that what we call them?Consider plywood,, and line them with Sweet PDZ, or sand. Have a perimeter edge to keep the granules from spilling. Use a cat litter scoop for the gumdrops.
I love that! I clean mine daily and my coop does not smell. I put the "gumdrops" in an empty feed bag and after a few days my DH carries it out and dumps it in a nice bottomless garden container where he layers it with wood chips we got from the electric company. In a year or so we should have a nice batch of compost!
