Wow sorry I haven’t responded. Since last year we lost our oldest chickie. She was a 6 year old Wyandotte named Betty. She is much missed. She was always top peck but let another hen be boss. She would make sure they knew she was still on top with the odd peck every now and again. Keep them in line so to speak. We only have 3 hens, Hazel(Captain), Agnes(sergeant), and Barbara(corporal). Hope everyone and their flocks are doing well.We have such a vibrant community here at BYC... tons of active friendly members. Of course, life gets busy, so I was thinking it would be fun to start a thread welcoming some of our peeps we haven't heard from in a while.
If that's you, come say hello and let us know what you've been up to.
(if that's not you, feel free to invite peeps you haven't seen in a while and say hi to those that post here)

That's me! I'm old and back! I was here a while back, primarily interested in ducks. Now, it's Chanteclere Chickens. I'm getting 6 hens. They're a very hardy dual-purpose bird, good for the U.P. of Michigan. We have such a vibrant community here at BYC... tons of active friendly members. Welcome back! Do you sell your honey?Hi everyone, it's been a while, still have chickens, my apiary is bigger now (love the variety in taste of honey we're getting), fixing up our orchard, still making natural food products. Basically that's it. Hope everyone is doing well.
