Good luck with the new chicks, and with integrating your flocks!Hello, I'm adding for the first time to my original 7 year old flock. I just picked up a mix of 13 new chicks.
Congratulations on the new chicks!Hey everyone!!! I have still been coming here for things but have not logged in for a long time, have some new babieshope everyone is doing well.
May you be blessed with an abundance of produce!Hello everyone! It certainly has been a minute!
I've been busy with planting in the garden this week. Several varieties of tomato and pepper plants!
I don't keep chickens myself, but I have a friend who does. When I'm on BYC, I usually hang around the gardening forum. With the warm growing season back, I will probably be more active here on BYC again.
I hope you have all been doing well!
Hello! It's great to hear from you, and I'm sorry to hear about your RIR.Hi!! Busy with spring chores. Just took plastic off the run. Power washing tomorrow. Came in here to look for a recipe. I was going to use 6tbson peppermint Castile soap w/vinegar in a gal of water. Hope all is well at your end. I did loose my RIR. Not sure if respiratory or what. I treated her like I did another hen. Gave her a soak in epson ..I was drying her, she vomited brown liquid
Hopefully it's not something that will impact any other chickens!Classroom chicks is how this site started!!!Hello! I’ve been busy with end of the school year activities, such as hatching chicks in my classroom. I actually came here today to ask for help with a chick that has a bad leg….i think it’s a slipped tendon. Not sure. One leg won’t straighten out and is folding up and toes are curled. I’m going to post a video in the appropriate thread. Other than that, I have about 25 chickens happily roaming my backyard.
Hey there! It's great to see you back, and thanks for sharing the pics!Hey Guys!! Sorry I’ve been MIA, between homesteading and work and then a relative living in our home with an LVAG , it’s been hectic!
All is well, we’ve had many baby chicks come and go.
Thanks for thinking of us!
Aww, thanks for the nice comments on our wonderful community! It's great to hear that you're getting back into the swing of things and adding more chicks to your flock! Wishing you all the best as you continue to nurture your "farmette"!Thank you for reaching out! it really is a great community that I truly love. We had a couple of years of health challenges that kept me focused elsewhere. Happy to report we're picking up a few more chicks next week. Green light to keep our farmette alive and well with backyard chickens.

Hangin with my coop feathered friends. 11 happy, spoiled backyard babies. I love my girls and most have names, some you can name but 2 breeds have more than one so no way to tell them apart but love them all. Enjoy reading posts now and then when time allows. Love BYC- keep it cool.
