Bumble foot is tough sometimes! There are good articles in the learning center.Currently dealing with bumblefoot on one of my easter eggers. Pretty traumatizing for both of us. Will post about it later, and ask for some advice.
That is good news on getting a predator proof Flock!Hi Everyone, I just posted a moment ago on what breed is my rooster. I've been busy with family matters and work, but still love my chickens. I lost the prior flock to Raccoons, since set the coop to predator proof and bought some Wisconsin Rhode Island Reds last year. This summer I added a pullet Rooster.
Hope you all are doing good.
I would just brood the hatchery chicks myself.hey could anyone here help me with this dilemma

19 goats? That's a lot to trim. Going solar sounds nice. Here I just finished trimming our goat hoofs 19 of them. Got the solar A/C unit up and running. Put the well on solar. We are working on getting off grid and we are at 80% just a bit more. So far so good. How is everyone doing?
We just baled up second crop here. That's enough for our uses. Congratulations on the upcoming vacation, and the new chicks. We're all OK here! Busy baling hay and bush-hogging pastures....
12 more days and we go on VACATION! Woo-hoo! Going to New Orleans for the "Tin Can Sailors National Reunion". The grandson takes care of the farm while we're away. 15 new chicks coming at the end of September....
