Howdy everyone
Been a few years since I lost my last chicken. But I've decided I'm getting back into it.
Never had more than 8 at a time before and I think I'm gunna keep my flock about the same this time.
Gotta build a new coop. Looking for ideas for a tractor coop. Probably build it myself, but not opposed to buying a kit. Last time my homebuilt red barn tractor coop got really heavy really fast with my in my head design plans.

Sounds like some fun plans. There are lots of coop articles to look through for some ideas.

Have you checked the coop section in the learning center? There is a category for tractor coops.

Haven't been on here for some years, but recently I've decided on crossbreeding my splash lavender orpington rooster, with a barred rock hen and black Australorp and a lavender orpington due to my local feed store running out of chicks as soon as I get there due to current egg shortages. Curious to see what the offsprings will look.

Hello I've lost a few family members, including my dad. Life has been tough, so I haven't been able to prioritize BYC, unfortunately. Things are finally coming into a state of "normalcy" and equilibrium, so I am able to dedicate more time to my passions and hobbies again; Of course, that includes BYC. I've got some eggs for the incubator on the way...Ameraucanas (TRUE Ameraucanas) and I'll be adding them to my flock of Black Australorps. Hope this little check-in finds everyone doing well. Come on, SPRING!!

So sorry about the loss of your father. I'm glad you are doing well enough to get back to your hobbies, especially chickens. What color Ameraucana? They are a nice breed.
